How far ahead should I make my wedding cake appointment?

We suggest you call to book your appointment 2 weeks before you would like to come in, and plan to come in about 3-6 months prior to your wedding date. Please be aware that June-October is our busiest wedding months so please plan accordingly.

Do you offer other desserts, other than cake?

Yes, we offer gourmet cupcakes and wide selection of desserts to accommodate any dessert station/bar.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, we require a 50% deposit at time of contract. The balance will be due 7 days prior to the wedding date.

Do you accept payment arrangements?

Yes, you may pay installments via phone in credit card, cash, check, and money order.

Do you offer consultation and a cake tastings?

Yes, we do offer both. Tuesday-Friday between the hours of 12-4pm; Saturdays, Sunday’s, and evenings can be accommodated by request.

How many flavors can I choose to taste?

You may choose up to 6 flavors from our daily menu.

How many people can attend?

While we understand that you want to include your family in such an important decision, we ask that you limit the number of attendees to four people. If possible, please have children under the age of 6 stay with a family member or sitter during your consultation.

Is there a fee?

Yes, the consultation is complimentary, however there will be a $25 tasting fee that will be credited towards your order when you book with us with a signed contract and within 30 days of your consultation.

What should we bring to a tasting?

We ask that you please take the time to prepare and research what you would like for your dessert and design. Please bring pictures that inspire you for your cake and/or design ideas, color swatches, and/or other decorative items for your cake. You can also email them to us prior to your schedule date at halfbakedde@yahoo.com

Can we get multiple Flavors for our wedding cake?

Yes, you can choose a different flavor/filling for each tier of your cake.

Can we do specialty Flavors for the season?

Yes, you can choose any flavor from our daily menu, including seasonal flavors.

Do you make “faux” or Styrofoam layers?

Yes, we do, however the same amount of work, time, and detail is put into designing your cake whether it is cake or Styrofoam, therefore the cost of the “faux” cake will be determined on the size requested.

Do you rent cake stands and other displays?

Yes, we offer a variety of cake stands, cupcake towers, wood slabs, crates and more.

Is there a display rental fee?

Yes, the rental fee ranges from $25-$50 per display unit. A refundable security deposit of $100 is due upon signing of the contract that will be refunded upon contract terms.

How far will you travel for delivery?

We offer a wide range of demographic area covering DE, MD, PA, NJ, NY.

How are prices determined for wedding cakes?

Wedding cake pricing is determined by the number of guests you wish to serve. Pricing ranges from $3.00 for naked cakes, $3.50 for basic buttercream, and $4.50-$8.50 for Fondant cakes. * Pricing includes a standard buttercream filing. Other filling options are available for an additional 20% of cake cost. * Custom design and/or decoration may add additional cost.

What is your delivery charges?

The delivery Fee is calculated on roundtrip mileage and range from $35 (0-50 miles), $65 (51-100 miles), $125 (101-150 miles). Mileage over 150 miles will be priced accordingly.

Do you sell cake toppers?

Although we have a small selection of basic cake toppers, we recommend and prefer that you select and purchase your own cakes topper.
